Date entered: 09.12.09

Cian returned from his 56 day 5303km cycle to India on August 27th 2009 in one piece but minus nearly 11kgs! Teddy Paschal managed to remain a good healthy weight but a good wash was needed! The overall total that has been raised through the cycle is 28,206e. Details on www.cianobrien09.com. Cian now hopes to write a book recalling the journey and will donate all proceeds to Buy a Brick. Since Cian and Teddy Pascal returned home to Ireland there have been numerous fundraisers by friends and family in different parts of Ireland and indeed Europe! There was a successful Indian night in Ennis Co. Clare and raised over €700 for the fund in September. Well done!
Ronan and Cathy and the BuyaBrick team would like to thank everyone that supported the cycle and generously donated to the charity and wishes everyone every good fortune and success in 2010. We also hope that you enjoy looking at the photos of the new building which wouldn't have been possible without your generosity since this project began in 1998!

Update from Jahangirpuri

Date entered: 24.11.08

Getting full Planning permission is taking longer than expected as the authorities are slow to move on approvals for planning. The sisters on the ground and the provinciality are working tirelessly to get the building moving. In the meantime they have arranged temporary accommodation to get the centre moving in that area. We will keep up posted on any developments.

We've also added an image gallery to the site of images taken during the trip.

Special thanks to all who have sponsored bricks so far. It is so encouraging to see such genoursity in the world today.

Each Brick sponsored has 20 times the spending power in India as it would in Ireland, so not only is 100% of every euro guaranteed to get to the Project in India, but it also goes a long long way over there to help these destitute people. Thank You.

For more information, feel free to contact us!
